ALOO PALAK PARATHA | POTATO SPINACH PARATHA | JAYASHREE RECIPES
Aloo palak paratha is simple, healthy, delicious and easy to make paratha. Aloo palak paratha is one of the staple breakfast recipe in most of the North Indian house holds. RECIPE FOR ALOO PALAK PARATHA

INGREDIENTS
- 2 potato - boiled
- 1 cup spinach (palak)
- 2 cup water
- 1.5 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp curd / yogurt
- 1 tsp garlic - crushed
- water to knead the dough
- little flour for dusting
- 1 tsp oil for frying each paratha
PROCEDURE
- take 2 boiled potatoes, peel the skin and mash well
- boil enough water in sauce pot, add spinach leaves
- cook for 30 seconds and switch off the flame
- drain the water and cool the spinach
- transfer into mixer grinder and grind to a smooth paste
- take wheat flour in a bowl
- add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, curd and crushed garlic
- mix well
- add mashed potatoes and spinach puree
- mix well
- add enough water and knead like a dough
- knead well till you get smooth and soft dough
- cover with kitchen towel to keep the dough from drying
- rest the dough for 15 minutes in room temperature
- after 15 minutes, knead the dough well
- pinch a medium sized ball from dough
- add some dry flour
- roll it into a thin circle like chapatti or paratha
- heat a dosa/chapathi pan
- place the rolled paratha in to the hot pan
- cook two sides of paratha, (each side 10 seconds)
- add a tsp of oil and spread evenly
- flip over to other side and cook properly
- make all paratha this way
- serve paratha with any paneer curry or raitha or pickle
- taste delicious 😋
NOTE
- adjust salt and spices according to your taste
- instead of spinach puree, you can also use finely chopped spinach for making aloo palak paratha
